Quality of Life
Politicians throw the phrase “quality of life” around, but what does it really mean? To me it means preserving open space, protecting our rivers and providing local governments with the tools they need to cope with explosive growth. It does not mean cutting funds for core government functions – like law enforcement, education and roads – just so lawmakers can preserve their pork projects.
Additionally, quality of life means protecting the things that make our community such a unique place to live. That’s why I support state and local land conservation efforts that protect the look and feel of the Lowcountry.
